AlphaStation ES40

The AlphaStation XP1000 system supports both Tru64 UNIX v4.0E (minimum) and the Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 operating environments.

Applications tuned and optimized with native Alpha compilers in either environment benefit the most from Alpha’s superior performance, up to 2X the performance of competing RISC systems. In addition, Intel® x86 applications running within the FX!32 translation environment will realize Pentium® II class performance.

  • 5 slots: 2 64-bit PCI, 2 32-bit PCI, 1 shared ISA/PCI
  • 6 bays: 3 5.25-inch (ext), 2 3.5-inch (int), floppy disk drive
  • Supports Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS operating systems
