Introducing the HP BladeSystem Matrix

April 20, 2009 Announcement

HP unveiled the BladeSystem Matrix, a cloud infrastructure in a box that brings the economics, scalability and response times of the cloud to applications across the data center. Unique to the new platform is the Matrix Orchestration Environment, which combines disaster recovery, capacity planning, and automated provisioning with a self-service portal into one command center to unite physical and virtual worlds. With today’s announcement, HP delivers a wire-once adaptive infrastructure that pools network, storage and compute resources to help IT organizations accelerate complex IT projects, simplify daily tasks and the continuously lower costs across the data center.

HP BladeSystems have plenty of fans; and we're not talking about the ones in the enclosure! But others sing our praises as well. A plethora of third-party industry experts have also had plenty good to say in their reviews of HP blades.
