Everyone is in cost saving mode these days. With power and cooling costs rising, we are too. HP Thermal Logic embeds technologies designed to help reduce energy usage and their associated costs - from the server to the datacenter.

Blade servers are energy efficient by design. We've given the HP ProLiant BL460c blade server G5 an "energy efficient overhaul". It now provides up to 44 watts savings compared to the G1 model depending on your configuration or 704W per enclosure versus the G1 model. This equates to $2,220 electrical savings per enclosure over 3 years (including cooling costs) at $0.08/kilowatt hour.

BladeSystem c7000 Enclosure has been enhanced with the new HP 2400W High Efficiency Hot-Plug Power Supply. It has increased peak efficiency and the ability to place half the power supply in standby to help reduce power losses at low loads, Take advantage of greater than 90% efficiency from as little as 10% output.

New Dynamic Power Capping - an HP exclusive - combines real time measurement with worry free hardware based control to cap or limit enclosure power without compromising performance…allowing you to potentially double the number of blades in your datacenter.
