Revision 4.8 of the Insight Integration for Tivoli includes the following updates:

• Tivoli Class Definition Statement Files (.CDS) and BAROC class definitions updated to support HP Insight Management Agents 8.30
• Expanded rules for Tivoli event servers (over 780) with automated correlation that can be customized to meet individual requirements
• Updated with enumerations for traps 3029, 3036, 3046, 3008 and 3034

The HP Insight Integration for Tivoli simplifies systems management by integrating SNMP event and status indications for HP ProLiant servers into the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC), and provides tasks that enable the collection of inventory data for HP ProLiant hardware.

This comprehensive solution builds on the functionality of HP Insight Management Agents and works with native Tivoli services across a wide range of operating platforms. This enables IT administrators to manage HP ProLiant servers, storage and other enterprise resources within a common Tivoli environment.

The HP Insight Integration for Tivoli includes SNMP Adapter definitions for over 2580 individual events, in addition to event class definitions and correlation rules that integrate closely with the TEC application, allowing HP SNMP events and Fibre Channel Management SNMP events to be identified, translated, and clearly displayed in the TEC Console.

The HP Insight Integration for Tivoli also includes tasks and database schemas that enable detailed asset data for HP ProLiant servers to be collected and queried using the inventory tools delivered with Tivoli Configuration Manager. Additional data for managed HP servers is also available through integrated tasks that launch the HP System Management Homepage and HP Systems Insight Manager.

All HP server hardware systems that support Insight Management Agents for Servers v5.50 or higher. This includes HP ProLiant servers and storage configurations that implement Insight Management Agents.
