| Standard Features for External MultiBay | |
| Compatibility | The External MultiBay will work on any USB enabled system. For best performance, the External MultiBay should be used with systems that support USB 2.0. On most systems, both Desktop and Notebooks, the External MultiBay should be powered with the AC Adapter provided in the option kit. Some HP systems support a specific powered-USB connection that provides self-powering of the External MultiBay. |

Docking/ Undocking support | Hot docking/undocking is supported under Windows XP Professional. When being used with other operating systems, the hardware eject icon in the Windows system tray should be used to avoid potential loss of data or damage to the device. |
