Introduction

HP StorageWorks Command View XP provides centralized, web-based management for XP disk arrays. It contributes to the reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO) by enabling collaboration among global team members, eliminating the need for travel to remote locations and increasing the efficiency of your administrator. Command View XP was the first web-based management solution on the market and the first to ship with a CIM/WBEM provider that strips away complexity for storage administrators and standardizes on the device information available.
HP StorageWorks Command View XP provides fibre channel diagnostics that provides early warning of fibre channel degradation and graphical mapping for quick location of the particular disk tray being used by an application or end-user. Command View's common user interface not only reduces the learning curve but also is the centralized point from which all XP management applications are launched thus reducing the need to learn disparate point solutions. SNMP scripts are included for integration into the leading network management frameworks including: OpenView, Computer Associates, Tivoli and BMC.
