HP StorageWorks Continuous Access XP & Continuous Access XP Extension
Overview:
HP StorageWorks Continuous Access XP is a high availability data and disaster recovery tool that enables real-time data mirroring between local and remote XP disk arrays. It provides continuous availability for all your important data and protects you from catastrophic failures. Continuous Access XP and XP Extension deliver host-independent, array-based remote recovery for a wide range of open systems environments. And now, Continuous Access XP is available over FICON, ESCON or Fibre Channel (not all XP arrays support all these protocols, consult the hardware QuickSpecs for more information), which offers the benefits of high performance, simplified management, and lower cost. Continuous Access XP provides high-performance remote mirroring in high-workload environments. Using shared mirroring and host-connect interfaces, you'll better utilize your array resources. And with seamless integration into a full spectrum of remote mirroring-based solutions, Continuous Access XP can be deployed for activities ranging from data migration to high-availability server clustering.
