CacheFS |
||||
|
CacheFS is a client side caching filesystem. In an NFS environment, it caches files accessed from NFS servers to a local file system on the client. Any references to the file data already cached is serviced from the local cache, eliminating the need for an over the wire NFS request which reduces network load and improves performance for clients on slow links. The reduction in server load leads to an increase in the server performance and allows the system to serve a larger number of NFS clients. |
