Introduction

The SAS 3041E four-port, host bus adapter is a high bandwidth storage option ideal for storage connectivity of higher performance SAS 15k rpm drives in high performance workstations.

LSI Logic's SAS HBAs are ideal for today's data centers and leverages existing SCSI software investment and offers ease of migration. The serial interface allows for point-to-point connection offering higher performance, increased aggregate bandwidth, higher availability with dual ported drives, and enhanced reliability when compared to parallel SCSI.

The SAS interface provides universal interconnect with Serial ATA, while still offering logical SCSI compatibility along with the reliability, performance and manageability when using SAS drives. Common electrical and physical connection allows for the application to dictate the interface technology of choice for disk drives.

With PCI-E throughput of 1.0 GB/s, these adapters capitalize on maximum system performance for those workstations needing it. It also utilizes Fusion-MPT architecture that allows for thinner drivers for better performance (up to 140,000 I/Os per sec) while adding value and flexibility at the firmware level.

Fusion-MPT architecture provides outstanding performance, binary compatibility of host software and significantly reduces software development time. With advanced architecture, SAS3041E adapter can be quickly adapted to respond to emerging I/O interfaces.

Compatibility

The 3041E SAS HBA is compatible with the HP xw4400, xw4600, xw6400, xw6600, Z400 and Z600 workstations.

NOTE: Not all models are available in all regions.

Service and Support

The 3041E SAS HBAs have a one-year limited warranty or the remainder of the warranty of the HP host workstation (which ever is longer) in which they are installed. Technical support is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day by phone, as well as in online support forums. Certain restrictions and exclusions apply.
