CAUTION: If a third-party rack is used, observe the following additional requirements to ensure adequate airflow and to prevent damage to the equipment:

Front and rear doors: If your 42U server rack includes closing front and rear doors, you must allow 5,350 sq cm (830 square inches) of hole evenly distributed from top to bottom to permit adequate airflow (equivalent to the required 64 percent open area for ventilation).
Side: The clearance between the installed rack component and the side panels of the rack must be a minimum of 7 cm (2.75 inches)

CAUTION: Always use blanking panels to fill all remaining empty front panel U-spaces in the rack. This arrangement ensures proper airflow. Using a rack without blanking panels results in improper cooling that can lead to thermal damage.

Data Protector Express has a very simple product structure yet easily enables powerful and robust data protection and disaster recovery. The base product is the Data Protector Express Backup Server. Installing this creates the Data Protector Express Storage Domain. Options are installed to add other machines to the Data Protector Express Storage Doman for protection and to add additional functionality.

HP Storage Mirroring Software provides host-based replication and failover to IP-based networks. Patented replication and failover technology continuously captures byte-level data changes as they occur in your production environment and replicates those changes to one or more servers in any location without geographic limitations. By replicating only the bytes that change, Storage Mirroring Software uses the absolute minimum bandwidth required to replicate customer data. Advanced features allow a customer to control bandwidth usage and queue data for replication during off-peak times if desired. The software does not need special hardware to run and utilizes existing LAN or WAN infrastructure that already exists in their environment -saving time, additional investment, and maintenance. Storage Mirroring Software is storage independent and is a great complement to ProLiant Storage Servers. The flexibility, resource optimization, and application-specific protection enable customers to solidify their data and disaster protection strategies using Storage Mirroring Software.
