Overview

The NC510F is a x8 PCI Express (PCIe) 10 Gigabit Ethernet SR (10GBASE-SR fiber optic) network solution offering the highest bandwidth available in a ProLiant Ethernet adapter. Available with both half and full height brackets to support a wide range of ProLiant servers, the NC510F is ideal for a host of demanding applications meeting the needs of the next generation datacenter.

An end-to-end HP 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) solution can be built by combing the ProLiant 10GbE server adapters with a ProCurve 5400zl switch, which supports 24 10-GbE ports or 144 mini-GBICs, or a combination of 10/100/100 and 10GbE ports

What's new

Meeting the needs of the next generation datacenter, the multifunction NC510F and its copper-based counterpart NC510C are the first HP 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapters for ProLiant servers.
  • 10,000 Mbps bandwidth combined with multifunction capabilities provide the ideal combination ideal for a host of demanding applications

Ideal environment

Ideal for...

Customers requiring high performance Ethernet networking
  • The NC510F provides a leading edge server interconnect for HPC customers who want to deploy Ethernet-based high performance computing clusters and applications

Corporate data centers looking to simplify their operations
  • Unified fabrics simplify networking infrastructures and can greatly reduce costs associated with purchasing and managing IT resources
  • Unified fabrics further permit sharing of bandwidth between LAN, SAN, and cluster traffic for improved server efficiency

Resource-constrained customers wanting greater server efficiencies
  • 10,0000 Mbps bandwidth facilitates consolidation of workloads and applications into fewer and fewer servers
