What's new
Low power memory
  • With increasingly limited and costly energy resources, you want full-featured servers to run all the same applications you run today - without compromising performance or reliability, yet are power efficient. You also need to maximize the number of servers per rack - without taxing your data center. Low Power memory options from HP can save approximately 1-kilowatt per rack when fully configured, allowing you to meet your power demands while maintaining the same trusted HP ProLiant performance and reliability.
High capacity 8GB dimms
  • 16GB option kits (using two 8GB dimms) will enable applicable ProLiant Server platforms to double maximum memory footprints.
    • BL680c G5 and BL685c G5 now have maximum memory footprints of 128GB
    • DL580 G5 maximum memory footprint is 256GB
  • Ideal usage environments for this memory include:
    • Compute-intensive, mission-critical applications
    • Large enterprise data centers
    • High performance computing

High speed 800MHz dimms
  • 800MHz (PC2-6400) Fully Buffered Dimms increases the performance features of the HP ProLiant DL160 G5. Ideal environments for this server and memory are:
