| A...... | Yes, existing ProLiant 2500 systems based on the 200 MHz/256KB version of the Pentium Pro can be upgraded to dual processing using the new 200 MHz/512KB Pentium Pro as the second processor. 180 MHz ProLiant 2500 servers can also use the new 200 MHz/512KB Pentium Pro processor, but customers should note that when mixing processor speeds (180 and 200) that the server will default to the slower speed processor (180).

| A...... | Compaq offers the Integrated Management Display (IMD) as a standard feature on the ProLiant 2500 6/200 512K models. The Integrated Management Display provides information for diagnosing and servicing your ProLiant server. In the case of a system shutdown the IMD will display a POST error message providing information about the cause of the failure. The IMD features a 16 x 4 character LCD display and 4 button display control panel. The LCD module displays POST messages, user-defined administrative information, and system information. |

In addition, the customer will need to update his or her Compaq Operating System-dependent drivers. New drivers are available on the Compaq Support Software CD or via www.compaq.com/support/files/server/index.html. |
