Step 3: Identify the SCSI adapter or Array controller.
Step 4: Identify the SCSI hardware device.
Step 5: If additional cabling is required, order the cabling listed in the appropriate box in the table.
Step 6: Follow the interconnect instructions.

Definitions:
HD68 - High density 68 pin SCSI cable Connector
VHDCI - Very high density cable interconnect 68 pin SCSI cable Connector

LVD - Low voltage differential supporting Wide Ultra2 or Wide Ultra3 transfer rates

INTERNAL CABLING ONLY

CONTROLLER	Wide Ultra2 or Ultra3 Non Hot-Plug Hard Drives or ATA Hard Drives Note: Mixing Ultra2 and Ultra3 devices will result in Ultra2 transfer rates. Ultra3 SCSI Adapters only support wide Ultra3 transfer rates.
Integrated Single Channel Wide-Ultra2 SCSI Controller	Wide Ultra3 rates not supported in this configuration without use of Ultra3 PCI controller. No additional cables required. Connect the 2-device Ultra3 HD68 cable to the controller and the drives.
64 Bit/66Mhz Single Channel Wide-Ultra3 SCSI Adapter	Connect the 2-device Ultra3 HD68 cable to the controller and the devices. Note: SCSI or ATA module must be removed prior to internal cable routing to the PCI SCSI adapter.
64 Bit/66Mhz Dual Channel Wide-Ultra3 SCSI Adapter	Connect the 2-device Ultra3 HD68 cable to the controller and the drives. Note: SCSI or ATA module must be removed prior to internal cable routing to the PCI SCSI adapter.
SmartArray 431 Controller	Connect the 2-device Ultra3 HD68 cable to the controller and the drives. Note: SCSI or ATA module must be removed prior to internal cable routing to the PCI SCSI adapter.
SmartArray 5300 series Controller	Connect the 2-device Ultra3 HD68 cable to the controller and the drives. Note: SCSI or ATA module must be removed prior to internal cable routing to the PCI SCSI adapter.
Ultra ATA/100 2-Channel Controller	Connect ATA Device 0 and ATA Device 1 cables from the ATA module to each ATA Hard Drive
