Key Benefits

Concentrated 1U compute power. - Integrated Lights-Out management, and essential fault tolerance, the DL360 G5 is optimized for space constrained installations, while providing enterprise performance and reliability at an affordable price.

»  Concentrated 1U compute power combines 64-bit capable Intel Xeon processors with the latest memory and I/O technology
»  Engineered with greater fault tolerance than ever before, now with mirrored memory, online spare memory, redundent fans, redundant power, and RAID 6
»  Embedded technologies and two PCI-Express slots offer deployment versatility in an efficient 1U form factor
»  Delivering Best-run Server Infrastructure

Concentrated 1U compute power

Intel Xeon 5100/5000 series processors increase system performance and can handle a significantly greater workload because of dual-core, increased L2 cache, faster system bus, Hyper-Threading technology. Up to 32GB memory capacity helps eliminate a common system bottleneck. ProLiant engineers have balanced the processor resources with high performance PC2-5300 fully-buffered DIMMs (DDR2 667) which can be configured for 4:1 interleaving, PCI-Express technology, dual multifunction NICs with TCP/IP offload and up to six disk drives. This well-balance architecture bringing more performance per U or per Watt for web hosting, infrastructure, clustering and compute node environments.

DL360 G5 feature Benefit
Intel Xeon 5100 series processors Combining 64-bit dual-core and up to a 1333MHz front side bus with low power consumption Intel Xeon processors drive greater total performance and improve performance per Watt.
Shared 4MB L2 Advanced Transfer Cache On-chip processor cache increases performance by providing a faster processor hit rate on data. The shared cache benefits both single threaded and multi threaded applications.
Up to 32GB Fully Buffered DIMMs Memory intensive applications benefit from memory buffers, faster memory speeds, 4:1 memory interleaving and larger memory capacity.
PCI-Express technology Serial PCI-Express technology greatly improves I/O bandwidth and data throughput.
Embedded Multifunction Gigabit Network Adapters with TCP/IP Offload Engine The TCP/IP offload engine reduces network latency but offloading the CPU from processing network traffic. This high performance gigabit NICs are ideal for TCP/IP and iSCSI networks.
Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) With up to six SAS drives and new Smart Array RAID controllers, you get quicker access to data and increase storage bandwidth for cutting edge storage performance.

Optimum fault tolerance

Engineering excellence provides unsurpassed reliability in a 1U form factor. The DL360 offers redundant fans and optional redundant power supplies to meet demanding availability requirements of corporate data centers. Memory protection, optional transportable battery backed write cache, advanced RAID levels and ProLiant reliability guarantees optimum server uptime.

DL360 G5 feature Benefit
Fan redundancy, standard Allows for continued operation until maintenance can be scheduled to replace a failed fan assembly.
Hot plug power supply with optional redundancy Hot plug redundancy means no down time to repair failure; each power supply has its own power cord so redundant power to the rack can be supported.
Smart Array RAID controller; transportable battery-backed write cache and RAID 6 options Write cache improves disk performance; transportable battery-backup means cache can be moved to another server to recover data stored in the cache in the event of a system failure.
Embedded Multifunction Gigabit Network Adapters with TCP/IP Offload Engine High speed LAN capability without having to use a slot; NICs can be teamed or configured for redundancy.
Advanced ECC memory Corrects 4bit memory errors that occur within a single DRAM chip on the DIMM
Mirrored and Online spare memory Mirrored memory protection against uncorrectable memory errors without degrading performance of the memory system. Online spare offers a failover bank which is brought on line when single bit errors reach a critical threshold.
Optimum fault tolerance

Deployment versatility in a 1U form factor

The virtual presence of embedded Lights-Out technology provides secure remote console and remote control. Optional high speed graphical remote console and virtual media functionality further enhances the feature set. High performance Smart Array and dual Gigabit NIC maximize I/O performance. Two PCI Express slots and six SAS drive bays the new DL360 G5 expand configuration and deployment options.

DL360 G5 feature Benefit
2 PCI-Express expansion slots 2 slots (1 full length/height, 1 low profile) allows for configuration options, such as redundant HBA's or NIC's, for additional levels of uptime
Choice of Smart Array RAID controllers Choose either Smart Array P400i controller for performance and 6 disk drive support or the Smart Array E200i controller for value. Each controller uses a dedicated slot to keep the PCI-Express slots open for other uses.
SAS or SATA drive support Multiple drive technologies provide unique price/performance configuration options.
Integrated Lights Out management Remote management eliminates the need to be physically present to address unexpected server issues.
Embedded Multifunction Gigabit Network Adapters with TCP/IP Offload Engine Embedded NICs support TCP/IP, iSCSI, Wake On LAN (WOL) and PXE for additional management functionality.
System Insight Display A rugged slide-out system diagnostics display saves administrators time with easy to find trouble shooting information at the front of the server.
Lower power processors, disk drives and HP power regulator technology More performance per U and greater power per Watt.
