Yes, side panels are recommended when deploying a rack or multiple racks with the HP 10000 G2 Rack Air Duct kit.

If I already have a 10000 or 10000 G2 rack with racked equioment in it, which parts do I need to complete an Air Duct solution? |

if you already have a 10000 or 10000 G2 Series rack deployed, then you will need the Retrofit Prep Kit (AF029A) and the Air Duct and Rear Expansion Kit (AF028A).
- If you are deploying a new rack, then you will need a 10000 G2 Series rack (AF001) with a Standard pallet or AF030A with shock pallet for Factory Express integration. The Air Dcut Kit will not ship installed to a CTO rack, it must be installed on location.
