Industry standard 19" wide, 1 meter deep, 42U of racking space, for ProLiant servers, storage and accessories.
The HP 5642 rack has industry standard dimensions of 19" between the two front RETMA rails, this is the dimension for all industry standard rackmount servers such as the ProLiant DL, BL and ML (rackable) servers. In addition, today's deeper servers require additional room in the rack for improved cable management and security, the HP 5642 rack meets this requirement by providing a full 1000mm of depth, the same depth as fully featured, more expensive racks. The HP 5642 rack will fit HP storage products such as the MSA1000 and will also fit rack and power products such as rack mounted UPS, PDUs, and rack mounted monitors and keyboards.

Quick and effortless assembly. Number of parts has been minimized to maintain simplicity and provide an intuitive assembly process.
The Hp 5642 rack has been specifically designed for an effortless assembly that can be achieved in about 30 minutes. The number of parts has been reduced to a minimum making the assembly process intuitive and painless. All the tools necessary for assembly have been included and the instructions include video guide in addition to the printed instruction guide. Packaging of the parts has been designed to follow the assembly process, making it easier to identify parts and follow the assembly guide.

680 Kg/1500 Lbs of static load capacity for mid and high density deployments.
The weight capacity of the HP 5642 rack allows for mid to high density deployments of up to 680 Kg/1500 Lbs. In other words, it has the capacity to fully load it with 21 DL380's or even 42 DL360's! Although this rack is not rated for dynamic loads or CTO, its static load capacity will is sufficient for most mid and high density deployments.

Lockable rear doors and sectional side panels are standard
The perforated rear door of the 5642 is lockable preventing intrusion to the cable and power supply are of the rack. The side panels are necessary for proper airflow and are included with each 5642 rack. Leveling feet are standard, while the stabilizing feet and baying kit are optional.
