No. RSO will function properly only on the 2-Port Shared Storage Module that ships standard with the MSA500.

Can I deploy an AIT or DAT tape drive for backup when using the 4-Port Shared Storage Module? |

The MSA500 supports the HP Universal AIT and DAT tape drives, with W2K and NT with Veritas Backup Executive as the backup application. When using the 4 Port Module for DAS (Direct Attach Storage), you may also use CA-ARCserver and HP-data protector as the backup application.
