The AXL300 Accelerator PCI Card is a 33-Mhz, 32-bit device designed for ProLiant servers operating Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4. The AXL300 overcomes the performance bottleneck customers see in SSL-secured web application servers. It adds a dedicated coprocessor to a ProLiant Server, offloading cycle-consuming cryptographic processing. The AXL300 supports more than 330 SSL connections per second with standard web servers such as Microsoft IIS and Netscape 3.5 or later.
The AXL300 is enabled with Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT) to further improve performance to more than 660 SSL connections per second with CRT-enabled applications. It is also enabled with MultiPrime™, a patented technology from HP/Atalla that increases the performance of public key cryptography on both server and client platforms and on resource-constrained devices such as web phones and PDA's. Up to eight cards in a single server provide linear, scalable performance. The AXL300 is designed for fast and easy installation and use on ProLiant Servers and is supported by IM (Insight Manager). The AXL300 is easily exported worldwide wherever ProLiants are sold.
