HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager Software includes the data migration portion of the HP StorageWorks XP Auto LUN Software functionality. HP XP Auto LUN has the additional ability to make migration decisions based on disk array performance criteria. HP XP Tiered Storage Manager provides the ability to migrate user defined volume groups, has a wizard-based graphical user interface as well as a command line interface, and can send email notification when an event occurs. |

For the XP StorageWorks XP12000 and XP10000 Disk Arrays, HP StorageWorks XP Auto LUN Software licensing is based on the raw storage capacity of the disk array plus the configured usable capacity of any External Storage volumes attached to the disk array. For the HP XP24000 and XP20000 Disk Arrays, HP StorageWorks XP Auto LUN Software licensing is based only on the raw storage capacity of the array.
