Since there are many factors that influence asynchronous performance, some implementations may require a pre-assessment to verify that customer expectations can be met. With the Enhanced Asynchronous, buffer-to-disk the amount of supported configurations has greatly increased. |

Yes, in addition to the changes required at the controller level, you need to purchase the appropriate upgrade license for HP StorageWorks Continuous Access EVA Software licenses based on the amount of data being replicated. Upgrades can only be done with either a data-in-place array upgrade or when the original array is being decommissioned. |

A Continuous Access Software license (LTU) for the proper capacity must be installed on each system. Enhanced asynchronous replication is supported between EVA 4100/6100/8100 series models. One way data migration is supported from EVA 3000/5000 to EVA4400/6400/8400. |
