The Selling HP Infrastructure Software for HP ProLiant Servers Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course is designed to provide the sales professional with a better understanding of how to unify management of an infrastructure and how to apply HP components to customer issues. It also outlines a process that identifies, addresses, and resolves critical issues for a customer, and it identifies the broad range of customers who can benefit from this next-generation management model.
Infrastructure management enables valuable computing and storage resources—both physical and virtual—to be reprovisioned in real time and to be shared among different applications. This requires innovation and integration, which are provided by:
- HP ProLiant, HP Integrity, and HP BladeSystem servers
- HP Insight software, including the HP Insight Control Environment management software suites, the HP Insight Dynamics – VSE integrated management software suites, and HP Insight Essentials software tools
- HP storage devices
- HP Services
All of the preceding components are being integrated through the HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) management interface. This one-day course covers the following topics:

- Selling solutions — Explains how to select software components and present them to customers and includes exercises demonstrating successful solution sales.
- HP competition — Explores current competition to HP servers and related management and virtualization software products.
- Differentiate the HP Insight software components available for HP ProLiant servers
- Define how the concepts of the HP sales process apply to selling infrastructure management solutions
- Identify selling opportunities
- Describe how to sell integrated management software
