This course introduces the HP StorageWorks XP24000, XP12000 and XP10000 Disk Array product line and associated software applications. The focus is predominately on the XP24000. XP12000/XP10000 product training is included in course appendix section.

The material in this presentation describes the XP24000,XP12000 and XP10000 Disk Array hardware architecture and components and provides instructions on how to configure and manage the XPXP24000/12000/XP10000 Disk Array.

• Describe the concepts of XP Parity Groups, Free Space, and emulation type
• Explain the concept, creation, and usage of the various XP array volume types
• Describe the features and functionality of Command View XP Advance Edition
• Describe the features and functionality of Remote Web Console
• Use Remote Web Console XP to perform LUSE, CVS, and OPEN-V operations
• Describe LUN Security XP Extension operations
• Describe External Storage XP features, functionality, and limitations
• Perform External Storage operations using Remote Web Console XP
• Describe Disk/Cache Partitioning features, functionality, and limitations
