Course overview

This EVA simulation allows you to step through the processes of initializing an EVA8000 storage system for a first-time configuration. It can also be used as a tool to demonstrate the features and ease of use of the EVA and Command View EVA solutions.

The simulation provides a guided task list for Command View EVA to step the user through tasks such as initializing the system and creating and deleting disk groups, virtual disks, hosts, snapshots, and snapclones. Task lists are also provided to lead the user through EVA8000 hardware management tasks including identifying and using hardware components such as the OCP and EMU.

Users also have the option of not using the task lists and completing Command View and hardware functions as desired. After performing those functions, the configuration of the simulated EVA can be saved and recalled as desired. This capability provides an excellent demonstration platform by allowing a desired EVA configuration to be viewed and altered.
