    Course overview

    This course will provide information on the HP Integrity entry-level zx1 and zx2 based servers. This information will add to your existing knowledge base to build a foundation that supports a fundamental understanding of the technology and the customer's requirements. This training will provide you with a process to gather information, analyze requirements, and plan and design an entry-level HP Integrity solution for a customer's existing environment. A 12-hour instructor-led training (ILT) course, it combines elements of design and analysis with practical labs based on customer case studies to prepare you for proposing entry-level Integrity solutions for HP customers.

    The course presents various tools that will be used in labs to help build a viable HP solution for the customer. These tools include:

    • Product Bulletin
    • VM Sizer
    • HP StorageWorks Sizer

    Prerequisites (suggested but not required)

    Certified system administrator skills in one or more operating systems

    • HP-UX
    • Linux
    • Microsoft Windows
    • OpenVMS
    • Recommended courses or skills:

    • Certified system administrator skills in one or more operating systems
    • HP Integrity Entry-Level and Mid-Range System Technology (WBT) eLMS catalog code: 28915
    • CompTIA Server+ training (or equivalent experience)

    Course objective

    After completing the entire training, you should be able to:
    • List the technologies supported in the Integrity entry-level solutions
    • Describe the HP Integrity entry-level server offerings
    • Describe the HP Adaptive Enterprise strategy and how it is implemented in Integrity entry-level solutions
    • Analyze customer requirements to identify an opportunity for an Integrity entry-level solution
    • Identify the tools used to design an Integrity entry-level solution
    • Discuss the design guidelines and configuration rules used to design an Integrity entry-level sever solution

    Cancellation policy

    Registration may be canceled without tuition charge if Hewlett-Packard Training Registration receives notification of cancellation eleven business days prior to class. Cancellations made ten to three business days prior to class will incur a $150 cancellation charge. Cancellations made two business days prior or less to class date and/or no-shows will incur the full tuition charge.

    All course offerings are dependent on classroom, equipment and instructor availability. Hewlett-Packard reserves the right to cancel or change a class at any time without liability to the attendee for costs incurred due to such cancellations or changes, including, but not limited to, cancellation penalties for transportation or accommodations.
