Course overview

The Planning and Designing HP Enterprise Solutions training is a comprehensive five-day course that delivers the technical presales information necessary to help participants provide the technical support needed during the sale of HP enterprise-class products and solutions, including the positioning of these solutions. A series of comprehensive lab assignments reinforces learning concepts.

After completing this course, you should be able to:
  • Identify enterprise customers, strategies, key challenges, and the business impact
  • Describe the seven stages of the HP Sales Cycle and some of the best practices recommended by HP
  • Describe business technology and how it optimizes business outcomes, the business technology solutions portfolio, and Adaptive Infrastructure key enablers
  • Describe HP unified infrastructure management tools and processes, how they supports the Adaptive Infrastructure, and how this model resolves customer challenges
  • Describe the HP server strategy and portfolio, key technologies, and how to select the best solution
  • Describe HP ProCurve Networking Adaptive EDGE Architecture, the main switch categories, network management solutions, and the value ProCurve solutions provide
  • Describe how HP is positioned within the enterprise market
  • Describe the HP enterprise-class storage portfolio, the three categories of online storage HP offers for storage area networks (SANs), disk technologies used in HP storage devices, and the tiered storage environment

  • Describe HP Information Management (IM) and HP Integrated Archive Platform (new name for HP Reference Information Storage System, or RISS) as well as the solutions HP offers
  • Describe the HP Software portfolio, Services-Oriented Architecture, HP Systems Insight Manager, HP Insight Control Management, and other server management products provided through HP Integrity Essentials and Storage Essentials

Cancellation policy

Registration may be canceled without tuition charge if Hewlett-Packard Training Registration receives notification of cancellation eleven business days prior to class. Cancellations made ten to three business days prior to class will incur a $150 cancellation charge. Cancellations made two business days prior or less to class date and/or no-shows will incur the full tuition charge.

All course offerings are dependent on classroom, equipment and instructor availability. Hewlett-Packard reserves the right to cancel or change a class at any time without liability to the attendee for costs incurred due to such cancellations or changes, including, but not limited to, cancellation penalties for transportation or accommodations.
