Access the HP Learning Center, select your region, and enter your student ID number and last name. Then, select Search Courses from the left hand navigation bar. Select Search Field:, select Course ID. In the search criteria area type in the course code 40178 and then select search. The course description and register link will be displayed.

Course overview

This training is offered as an equivalent to the knowledge expected from a candidate for the CompTIA Server+ accreditation. It includes information that is prerequisite to ProLiant APS, AIS, and ASE training.

This training validates the knowledge and skills of advanced IT technicians. It is designed to be a vendor-neutral certification for individuals with 18-24 months of experience with Industry Standard Server Architecture (ISSA) technology. The technical knowledge areas covered by this training include RAID, SCSI and multiple CPUs, as well as capabilities with server issues, including disaster recovery.
