Course overview

This course provides training for the HP StorageWorks 4400 Enterprise Virtual Array Evolutionary product that follows and is very similar to the EVA4100. Content of this course focuses on:

  • EVA4400 hardware and software components and their functions
  • How to set up the EVA4400 in multiple ways
  • How to configure and manage the EVA4400 using management hardware and software
  • How to support the EVA4400 by using reporting mechanisms, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Course contains hands-on laboratories that correlate with the lecture materials Current software versions that support the product include:
  • EVA4400 controller software 09.00
  • Command View EVA V8.0, the element manager software running on the Windows management server
  • Replication Solutions Manager (RSM) 4.0, the remote replication software
  • Web-based Enterprise Solutions (WEBES) 5.1, used for local or remote notification of significant EVA service events
