Course overview

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills that are needed to install, configure, service and support an HP StorageWorks Enterprise File Services (EFS) Clustered Gateway (DL380- Windows). Labs are included to reinforce the student's knowledge and skills of the EFS Windows Clustered Gateway.

Recordings of the original Virtual Classroom sessions are available for download.

The Cluster Gateway offers enhanced CIFS throughput through scalable cluster services that aggregate CIFS sharing to all participating nodes. A cluster can consist of two to sixteen nodes and is scalable to the saturation point of the fibre connection to the configured storage arrays. The clustering solution is based on Matrix Server and does not interact with Microsoft Clustering.

Product Features:
  • High performance CIFS file serving
  • Clustered Gateway built with Microsoft's Windows Storage Server 2003
  • Integration with Windows DFS
  • Scalability and High Availability
  • Fully symmetrical file system that allows scaling to 16 nodes
Value:
  • Industry standard server and OS
  • Leading price and performance

One year of support for both H/W and S/W included
