Course overview

This course is designed to provide training for the HP Storage Essentials (SE) storage resource management (SRM) software.
The material includes:

  • An overview of the new product features, including key differences between Storage Essentials Enterprise Edition (SE EE) and Storage Essentials Standard Edition (SE SE).
  • An in depth view of the architecture upon which Storage Essentials is built.
  • How to install the software and discover all storage system resources.
  • How to configure and set up the software with respect to security, licenses, logging, reporting, and the database.
  • A description of the user interface and how to use the GUI to perform essential tasks.
  • How to support and troubleshoot the software by using reporting mechanisms, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

    As you progress through the course, hands-on laboratories are available. These activities, led by the classroom instructor, are designed to correlate with the lecture materials.

    Cancellation policy

    Registration may be canceled without tuition charge if Hewlett-Packard Training Registration receives notification of cancellation twenty-one business days prior to class. Cancellations made twenty to three business days prior to class will incur a $150 cancellation charge ($210 in Canada, plus applicable taxes). Cancellations made two business days prior or less to class date and/or no-shows will incur the full tuition charge.

    All course offerings are dependent on classroom, equipment and instructor availability. Hewlett-Packard reserves the right to cancel or change a class at any time without liability to the attendee for costs incurred due to such cancellations or changes, including, but not limited to, cancellation penalties for transportation or accommodations.
