Steve Spaulding will celebrate his 45th anniversary with the company in October. Spaulding started his computer industry career with Digital Equipment Company (DEC) in 1963 at the renowned "Mill" in Maynard. (He proudly sports his "vintage" DEC badge number 808.)
As a manufacturing engineer, Steve has been instrumental in start-up operations at 11 different plants, setting up operations for Digital products in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Ireland. During those years he was involved in many phases of assembly and production, selecting and installing equipment and training operators and engineers.
Commenting on his long history with the company, Spaulding say, "I have really enjoyed working with dedicated people throughout the company and their willingness to share their knowledge with others."
A native of Waltham, Mass., Steve and his wife of 39 years live in Townsend, Mass. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. Outside the workplace, Steve enjoys yard work, reading and playing with his grandchildren.
